In Proximity to Detroit Lakes

Little Pelican Lake is a relaxed environment, while nearby Detroit Lakes is a city life source and events. The city is convenient for shops, restaurants, hotels, the Detroit Lakes Regional Airport, and Essential Health Hospital.

Just an hour away, Fargo is a much larger city shared by Minnesota and North Dakota. The city is home to Hector International Airport along with many attractions.

Charming Waters

Without public access to Little Pelican Lake, it is reserved for its property owners. Many residents are full-time, but it also has some that stay for the warmer months.

Summertime is full of boating, fishing, and swimming. Its forested shoreline makes a great view and attracts a variety of wildlife.

Pelican Lake is a much larger expanse just across from Little Pelican Lake. A public boat launch and fishing pier are on its eastern shore.

Highway 59 will take you north to Detroit Lakes, where shops range from small boutiques to big-name retail.

The city’s walking paths lead to Detroit Lake Beach, where you have a mile of sand for swimming, picnicking, or relaxing.

Events are always happening at Detroit Lakes; some include mountain biking tournaments, marathons, pop-up shops, and flea markets. Significant events include the WE Music Fest, the 4th of July Firework Show, and Detroit Lakes 200.
