Ocheda Lake is a multi-basin body of water that stretches over five miles. It is much enjoyed by kayakers, canoers, and those who like seclusion.
Many visit Okabena Lake in Worthington to hang out on its sandy beaches. Though it also hosts boating, water skiing, sailing, and fishing.
Sailing or windsurfing can be done on almost any lake in the area, thanks to its consistent wind gusts. Prairie lands beyond the lakes are suitable for birdwatching, picnicking, or simply exploring.
Just a few minutes east of Worthington, the Round Lake Vineyards & Winery is a local favorite. Its restaurant, The Bistro, serves a variety of flatbreads, burgers, salads, and of course, wines.
Marshall's Liberty Park hosts live music every Wednesday night. Saturday afternoons in the Summer host the Marshall Farmer's Market.
Wayside Rest Park features walking paths and a biking trail along the Redwood River. Camden Park offers a great variety of hiking trails through a more forested area.
In the Winter, Independence Park, Freedom Park, and Garvin Counties Park have the best sledding hills.
In this lake region, you can have a secluded lake's privacy with the convenience of the nearby cities.
