East of Isanti

The waters of Long Lake lie just five miles west of downtown Isanti, Minnesota. You will have access to restaurants, stores, city parks, and other conveniences in the city.

Minneapolis is under an hour away, where there is the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport, East Bank Hospital, and a great list of attractions.

A Host of Activities

The long, slim body of water covers nearly 400 acres. People make it their escape for boating, fishing, and swimming.

Along the long stretch, you will see people water skiing, tubing, and wakeboarding. Anglers also try the waters for walleye, largemouth bass, and northern pike.

Visitors have public access at the northeastern end of the lake with a boat ramp and parking.

The lake is used for ice fishing, ice skating, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing in the winter. In elevated areas, people also practice cross-country skiing.

Around the Waters

Wayside Prairie Park features beautiful landscapes and unique wildlife along two miles of nature trails east of the lake. Boardwalks, picnic tables, shelters, and grills are convenient facilities there.

Sunrise on Englund Shores is a lakeside restaurant that has been feeding visitors and locals for years. The restaurant is known for its smoked meats, but it offers a variety of other meals.
