Saulsbury Beach is the largest public beach on Green Lake. It includes picnic tables, pavilions, a basketball court, and volleyball nets.

Boating, water skiing, jet skiing, tubing, wakeboarding, sailing, and kayaking are popular activities on the water.

Anglers make impressive catches of largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, northern pike, walleye, and sunfish. When the lake freezes over, fishing continues from atop the ice.

There is a 12-mile bike trail around the lake that starts and ends at Saulsbury Beach. The Glacial Lakes State Trail is a paved trail that you can ride into Wilmar.

Snowmobiles have over 200 miles of trails to explore around Kandiyohi County. Other winter activities include ice skating, snowshoeing, and Nordic skiing.

Exciting Events

Throughout the summer, the Little Crow Ski Team will make impressive performances on Green Lake. Their most exciting stunt is a four-tier pyramid, but they also perform jumps, barefoot skiing, and more.

Spicer's Winterfest is the most exciting gathering of the winter. Days before the event, an ice castle is built on Green Lake. The fest follows with snowmobile races, beach bonfires, a polar plunge, and more.
