Travel just 50 miles east to Minneapolis for the Minneapolis-Saint Paul international airport, East Bank Hospital, and more city establishments.

Recreation and Relaxation

Cokato Lake covers 550 acres and has nearly five miles of shoreline. The lake has an average depth of 21 feet, a maximum depth of 52 feet, and water clarity up to eight feet deep.

While activities like boating, water skiing, and tubing are popular on the lake, it is also enjoyable for quiet activities like kayaking, canoeing, or fishing.

Anglers reel in walleye, largemouth bass, perch, northern pike, bullhead, and more. If you want to take it easy, you can kick back on the shore to birdwatch, read a book, or see the sunset over the lake.

Cokato Lake Public Boat Launch is on the eastern shore along with a fishing pier for the visitors. The Cokato Lake RV Resort is conveniently next to it.

Golfers will be thrilled to have Cokato Town & Country Club nearby. Their 18-hole course is a great challenge, and their restaurant is the perfect place to take a break.

Other restaurants like Casey's, Broadway B's, Iron Horse Grill & Saloon, Lucky Kitchen, and Bait & Hook are great stops as well.
