About Clearwater Lake - Annandale

Annandale's Most Prized Body of Water

Clearwater Lake is the crown jewel of Annandale, known as the "Heart of the Lakes." It is conveniently next to grocery stores, shops, eateries, and hotels in downtown Annandale.

Minneapolis' buzzing scene of dining, shopping, and entertainment is just 50 miles east of the lake. The city is also home to Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport and East Bank Hospital.

Largest Lake of the Area

Many people have made this scenic wonder their forever home, but it also hosts seasonal residents and vacationers. With over 3,100 acres of water, the lake has plenty of room for everyone.

Many tall, mature trees still stand around the lakeshore that dips in and out of inlets and stretches far out with peninsulas. The crystalline waters can be as deep as 73 feet.

Activities Galore

Lake life at Clearwater Lake includes long days on the water, community cookouts, and relaxation in between. Some of the residents' favorite activities are pontooning, speed boating, water skiing, tubing, kayaking, and paddleboarding.

Anglers are also enticed with Clearwater's walleye population, northern pike, largemouth bass, perch, sunfish, and bullhead. Several fishing tournaments are held here throughout the year, so you will have plenty of chances to get in on the action.

When snow falls on Clearwater Lake, it becomes a hub of winter activities like ice skating, ice fishing, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing.

More Fun to be Had

Waterfront Lakeside Grille is a restaurant, bar, and club all in one; it offers some of the best eating in town. It has several boat slips, so it will be easy for you to stop and grab a tasty meal.

Clearwater Forest Resort Campground is a great place for visitors, or kids can have an overnight stay in cabins at Camp Friendship.

Clearwater-Pleasant Lakes Park has trails that wind through forests and open fields; it is a great place to walk the dog or get the kids outside.

A Delight of Minnesota

Anyone would be lucky to call Clearwater Lake home, where the water is clear, neighbors are friendly, and the city is close by.
