Just a little over an hour’s drive from Grand Rapids, Michigan, lies beautiful Tubbs Lake in Mecosta County, just 70 miles northeast of Grand Rapids. Other neighboring large cities include Cadillac, Ludington, and Saginaw.

Life on the Water

Over 160 acres, Tubbs Lake was originally formed through flooding a Winchester Dam in the 1950s which created a total of eight lakes. Tubbs Lake has several boat launches, campgrounds, and lovely places for fishing. With an average temperature of 53 to 77 degrees in June, the water is temperate and perfect for many water activities.
