Located about an hour northwest of Detroit, Spring Lake is in the Township of Holly, Michigan. While this little lake is in a small town, it’s still conveniently located for all your basic needs.

The nearest hospital is Pontiac General Hospital, about 30 minutes away and the nearest commercial airport is Bishop International Airport, less than 20 minutes away.

On the Water

This lake might be small, but it’s known for its amazing fly fishing! Anglers can find a variety of fish in this lake with rainbow trout being the most common although bass and bream are also believed to reside here.

Sand Lake Campground is another great place to camp and watch the sunsets in the summer.

Clover Beach is a park on the nearby Byram Lake. This family-friendly park has a beach, grass and walking areas, grills, picnic areas, and plenty of beautiful nature and wildlife to explore.

Good with animals? Arcadia Stables is 30 minutes down the road and offers horseback riding lessons, boarding, and training! This facility has great reviews and even has an IEA team where 4-12 grade kids can compete to show off their skills!

In the winter, trade out your swimming for a trip to Mount Holly Ski & Snowboard Resort which offers trails for all skill levels as well as lessons for beginners.
