Otsego Lake is located in Otsego County, Michigan, situated just below Gaylord, Michigan. Traverse City, MI is 58 miles southwest, and Saginaw, MI is 128 miles southeast of the lake.

Otsego Memorial Hospital is six miles away, and Kalamazoo Battle Creek International Airport is 224 miles away, with closer regional airports nearby.

Otsego Lake is over 1,900 acres and has plenty of opportunities for everyone. The lake offers different freshwater fish and can be sought after in all seasons. The ice on top of Otsego Lake freezes over thick and makes for a perfect ice fishing spot. The lake allows boating, kayaking, fishing, and swimming.

Off the shore, Otsego Lake State Park is the perfect place to play volleyball, lay on the shore and relax, or ride a kayak around the waters of the lake.

Anglers can expect to catch yellow perch, white suckers, rock bass, walleye, and blue gill, among other species. Local and state fishing regulations apply.
