Kent Lake

Located in Oakland County, Michigan

Kent Lake is a 1,000-acre lake located in Milford, Michigan. It is 39 miles northwest of Detroit, 25 miles north of Ann Arbor, and 53.5 miles southeast of Lansing.

The Detroit Medical Center Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital is located 13 miles northeast of the lake. The Oakland County International Airport is 20 miles northeast.

Outdoor Recreation

Kent Lake offers a few boat ramps around the lake for boaters and fishermen to get out on the water and cruise around to enjoy a day full of fishing and other activities on the water.

The Kensington Metropark features two beaches, a golf course, and a nature center with exhibits and guided hikes. Anglers can expect to catch various fish, including crappie, bluegill, catfish, northern pike, bass, and more.

Maple Beach, nestled along the shoreline of the lake, provides a beautiful sandy area for relaxing and swimming with a small playground and restrooms near it.

The Splash ‘n’ Blast water park is directly behind the beach with splash pads, water slides, and shallow water areas suitable for kids to have a day full of fun. Black Locust Disc Golf Course is also located along the lake for those seeking fun off the water. The course offers beautiful scenery around its two 18-hole disc golf courses.
