Crooked Lake - Genoa Twp

Located in Livingston County, Michigan

Crooked Lake is located in Genoa Township, Michigan, situated between Howell and Brighton. Detroit is an hour's drive southeast, and Lansing is a 45-minute drive northwest.

There are a few smaller airfields nearby, but the closest major airport is Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport which is typically 47 minutes away. Urgent care can be provided at St. Joseph Mercy Brighton Health Center, 12 minutes away.

Snacks and groceries can be found at a Meijer, nine minutes away. Many highly rated restaurants are nearby, such as Brighton Bar & Grill and Ciao Amici’s.

Lake Life

With two lakes connected by a channel, Crooked Lake is the place to be for fun in the sun.

At 252 acres, East Crooked Lake is the biggest of the two lakes. This is an all-sports lake with a public boat ramp down Pineridge Lane. West Crooked Lake is a private, all-sports lake with 176 acres. This lake has no public boat ramp but can be accessed through the channel connecting it to East Crooked Lake.

Anglers looking to cast out a line have a chance to catch largemouth bass, bluegill, northern pike, and perch.

Out And About

For those days when the lake life is not an option, take a short drive over to Mt. Brighton Ski Resort and shred some slopes. There are trails for every level.

Head on over to Brighton Recreation Area for a wilderness adventure no matter the time of year. This park offers trails for horseback riding, hiking, and biking. It is also a fantastic place for camping. Don’t miss out on the Annual Harvest Festival and its epic Halloween decorations.

Visit Detroit

Located only 50 miles from Crooked Lake, Detroit offers the perfect opportunity for an adventurous day trip. Nicknamed the Motor City due to its ties to the auto industry, Detroit is home to enriching museums and fun attractions.
