Burt Lake is a 17,120-acre lake located in Cheboygan County, Michigan. It is nestled in a northern portion of the state, 92 miles northeast of Traverse City, 205 miles north of Grand Rapids and 283 miles north of Detroit.

The closest location for emergency care is McLaren Northern Michigan, 21 miles southwest. The Cherry Capital Airport is 86 miles southwest.

Burt Lake is one of the better-known lakes in the southeastern Michigan area.
