Located in Norfolk County, Massachusetts

Massapoag Lake is a 392-acre lake located in the town of Sharon, Massachusetts. The beautiful lake has an average depth of 16 feet and a max depth of 48 feet. It is typically transparent to roughly 10 feet.

The closest location for emergency care is the Sturdy Memorial Hospital, 20 minutes south of the lake. The Boston-Logan International Airport is 27 miles north in Boston.

Memorial Park Beach offers fantastic amenities on Massapoag, like seasonal lifeguards, bathhouses, docks, swimming lessons, sailing lessons, and boat rentals.

Fishing is excellent, with very little aquatic vegetation to get lines trapped in. Each spring, the lake is stocked with trout and has an abundance of large and smallmouth bass to fish!

Other fish species found in the waters are Chain Pickerel, Yellow Perch, Black Crappie, White Perch, Bluegill, Pumpkinseed, and American Eel.

Massapoag Lake is at the center of town and is surrounded by many different activities that everyone will enjoy!

Located 5 minutes south of the lake, Borderland State Park offers visitors a historic mansion open for tours, over 20 miles of hiking trails at different difficulty levels, biking, horseback riding, disc golf, and much more!
