Learned Pond is a 34-acre great pond located in Middlesex County, in the city of Framingham, Massachusetts. Boston is close by, sitting only 23 miles east, and Providence is 53 miles south.

The closest location for urgent care is MetroWest Medical Center, on the shores of Learned Pond. For international air travel, Boston Logan International is 23 miles east.

Life on the Water

Learned Pond has a popular beach that visitors use for kayaking, sunbathing, and swimming. An annual pass must be purchased from The City of Framingham to access the beach.

The pass grants you access to two other beaches in Framingham: Saxonville Beach and Waushakum Pond.

Nearby Cochituate State Park makes for an excellent day trip! Boating and kayaking are the main attractions here, as the three ponds that make Lake Cochituate offer something different.

South Lake is the place for those that love water skiing. Middle and North Lake are the best for kayaking, canoeing, or slow boating.

All three lakes are great for casting a line out! Anglers should expect to catch bass, crappie, sunfish, pike, trout, and muskie.

Take a leisure stroll through nature at Garden in the Woods. This botanical garden features two miles of hiking paths filled with different plants and streams.
