Sebasticook features 4500 acres of water, 28 miles of shoreline, and an average depth of 20 feet.

Native Americans were some of the first to take advantage of the rich environment. Stakes from some of the fishing weirs left at Sebasticook are some of the oldest known.

By the late 1800s, settlers had turned it into a bustling recreation area. This time includes some of the best fleets of sailboats that the lake would ever see.
