About Sebago Lake

Second-Largest Lake of Maine

Located just north of Portland, Sebago Lake is the deepest and second-largest lake in Maine. Amenities like Portland International Jetport, Maine Medical Center, and the University of Southern Maine are minutes away.

Crystalline Waters

Sebago Lake is not only known for its size; it is known for crystal-clear waters. The lake is 12 miles long and boasts 105 miles of shoreline.

The towns of Sebago, Naples, Casco, Raymond, Standish, and Windham border the lake. Sebago’s Frye Island is home to a town of its own, only reachable by the Frye Island Ferry.

A Host of Lake Activities

You can do it all at Sebago Lake: boating, swimming, water skiing, fishing, and more. The lake’s populations of bass and trout attract anglers from all around.

Sandy shores lie at Nason’s Beach, Rich Memorial Beach, Harmon’s Beach, and Sebago Town Beach. Campsites are also around the lake at Nason’s Campground, Family & Friends Campground, and Sebago Lake State Park.

Multiple marina’s offer rentals, boat storage, and other services. The Sebago Lake State Park has a public boat ramp, and there are three others located around the shore.

Off the Waters

Seacoast Adventure Fun Park, Smitty’s Cinema, and Windham Mall are excellent attractions on the lake’s east coast.

There are plenty of opportunities for fun in Portland. You can ferry out to the Casco Bay Islands, explore Downtown Old Port, try local breweries, or climb to the top of the Portland Observatory.

Paradise on the Lake

With its mesmerizing views and sandy beaches, Sebago Lake can be considered a small-town paradise.
