Monson Pond is a charming body of water in Monson, Maine. The town has dining, lodging, and grocery establishments. Dover-Foxcroft is just a half-hour away from Northern Light Mayo Hospital, along with other typical city conveniences.

Monson Pond covers approximately 350 acres and features nearly four miles of shoreline. Its waters are 29 feet deep on average but reach depths of 92 feet.

On the other side of Monson, Lake Hebron is a larger body of water that is more visited than Monson Pond.

Passing along the western end of Hebron Lake, the Appalachian Trail continues to Mount Katahdin. Along the trail, hikers enjoy birdwatching, leafing, and sightseeing.

Big Squaw Mountain Ski Area in Greenville is north of Monson. Skiers and snowboarders can choose from trails ranging from expert to beginner skill levels. If you need ski lessons, the facility offers that as well.
