A Short Drive from Maine’s Twin Cities

Middle Range Pond sits less than 20 miles southwest of Lewiston-Auburn in the mountainous region of Maine.

Locals commonly refer to Lewiston and Auburn as “L/A” or the “Twin Cities.” In the cities, you will find the Central Maine Medical Center, Auburn-Lewiston Airport, a selection of schools, multiple restaurants, and more.

Middle Range Pond spans over 300 acres for recreation and relaxation.

The lake is the middle body of water in the Range Pond lake chain. It is above Upper Range Pond and below Lower Range Pond.

Recreation On the Water

Middle Range Pond is connected to Upper Range Pond via a short thoroughfare. The public boat access for both of these waters is off the northern end of the causeway bridge.

The pristine waters are equally enjoyed by those with kayaks, canoes, windsurfing boards, and paddleboards. Swimmers, anglers, and nature lovers will enjoy all the aspects of living the lake life here.

Anglers looking to toss out a line can find brown trout, rainbow trout, brook trout, rainbow smelt, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, white perch, yellow perch, chain pickerel, golden shiner, white sucker, hornpout, pumpkinseed sunfish, redbreast sunfish, black crappie, slimy sculpin, and American eel, and landlocked alewife.

Called the “Foodiest Small Town,” the city is nationally renowned for excellent restaurants, craft beverages, and award-winning chefs.
