Long Lake - Naples

Long Lake is located in southern Maine, shared by near Naples, Bridgton, and Harrison. Nearby Bridgton houses grocery stores, restaurants, stores, or the Bridgton Hospital.

The lake is just an hour’s drive from Portland, where there are many attractions along with the Portland International Jetport or Maine Medical Center.

Second Largest Lake of the Region

Long Lake encompasses 4,687 acres, making it the second-largest lake of Southern Maine. Its waters reach depths of 59 feet and have a mean depth of 25 feet.

Summer days at Long Lake are filled with boating, fishing, and swimming. The lake is also home to the Lake Region Sailing Club, located on the Midwestern shore. Harrison Marina, Gateway Marina, and Bridgton Marina can supply you with boat slips, boat rentals, and other services.

Fishing and Other Activities

Long Lake is known for its excellent fishing opportunities. Anglers like going after the lake’s healthy populations of smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, and landlocked salmon.

Hiking the areas around the lake is a popular past-time among nature-lovers. Everyone gets excited for fall when the foliage bursts in warm colors.

The lake is just as pretty when it is covered in a blanket of snow. Ice fishing and snowmobiling then become the top activities. Just outside the lake, Bridgton’s Highlands Country Club is a fine place for a round of golf or tennis match.

Fun on the Coast

There are plenty of opportunities for fun in Portland. You can ferry out to the Casco Bay Islands, explore Downtown Old Port, try local breweries, or climb to the top of the Portland Observatory.

Old Orchard Beach, Maine’s number one rated beach back to back, is just an hour away as well. The location offers seven miles of beachfront and an amusement park, carnival games, restaurants, and shops.
