Prien Lake is a member of the related bodies of water that make up the Lake Charles area. Located in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana, Prien Lake covers 997 acres and features two miles of shoreline.

The other lakes that make up this area are Calcasieu Lake, Lake Charles, Moss Lake, and Mud Lake.

For lake goers seeking the bustle of a larger city, Houston, Texas, is just over an hour from the waterfront. The city of Lafayette, Louisiana, is not far either with travel being just over an hour’s drive.

Being a community lake, Prien Lake is also made up of a surrounding state park called Prien Lake Park.
