Cypress Bayou Reservoir

Cypress Bayou Reservoir is located in Benton, Louisiana, outside of the charming city of Shreveport. This reservoir is a part of the Cypress Black Bayou Recreation and Water Conservation District, which is a full-service recreation area with two lakes.

Cypress Bayou Reservoir is a considerably large lake with 3,300 acres. Its neighbor, Black Bayou Reservoir, is only 800 acres in size. The two lakes are connected via a small water channel, meaning residents on Cypress Bayou Reservoir can enjoy the amenities on both lakes.

Plenty of Recreational Opportunities

In the conservation district and on the lakes, visitors can swim, camp, rent cabins, fish, visit the zoo, boat, and more.

Cypress Bayou Reservoir is teeming with thriving wildlife such as birds, frogs, fish, owls, and alligators. Other than animals, the foliage helps to create beautiful views and shaded areas for visitors to enjoy.

There is also a marina in the park that sells gas for motorized boats.
