Located in Western Louisiana

Black Lake is a large body of water of western Louisiana, adjacent to US-84 and 71. Nearby Natchitoches has the establishment to meet almost any need.

Also Known as Clear Lake

Black Lake is quite a vast expanse, covering roughly 7,000 acres and claiming 6,500 acres of surrounding lands. The lake stretches five miles and reaches widths of almost two miles. Its waters feature many small islands, inlets, and peninsulas.

Crossed by Highway 9, the waters west of the bridge are known as Black Lake, while those east are called Clear Lake.

An open stretch east of the Highway 9 bridge is commonly used for water skiing, jet skiing, and other fun water activities.

National Forest and other Fun Attractions

Kisatchie National Forest is Louisiana's largest national forest, covering 604,000-acres. The park is home to 10 campgrounds of different styles. Over 100 miles of trails are provided for hiking, mountain biking, or horseback riding.

Less than 100 miles away, Shreveport houses three casinos, an aquarium, a selection of malls, cinemas, and many other attractions.
