About Spring Lake

Spring Lake is a long, slim body of water that was human-made in the 1880s. The lake and surrounding areas were claimed as the town of Spring Lake in 1912.

The waters are enjoyed for boating, fishing, and swimming. Kayaks, canoes, and fishing boats commonly tour the waters. Fishers make catches of largemouth bass, catfish, bluegill, walleye, redear sunfish, and perch.

When the leaves change colors in the fall, Spring Lake becomes a scenic wonder. Residents enjoy lakeside picnics and afternoon walk among the colorful foliage.
