Shriner Lake is a 120-acre lake that is part of the Tri-Lakes community in the Thorncreek and Smith townships in Indiana. Fort Wayne is under 25 miles away.
It is 16 minutes from Parkview Whitley Hospital and a little under an hour away from Fort Wayne International Airport. The lake is within 20 minutes from Goss Grocery and Egolf’s IGA.
Anglers at the lake can expect to catch bluegill, crappie, perch, sunfish, and trout. There is public boat access on the east side of the lake.
At the Crooked Lake Nature Preserve, which is only five minutes from Shriner Lake, visitors have access to a two-mile trail on the shore of Crooked Lake, which is one of Indiana’s clearest and deepest lakes.
At the Crooked Lake Golf Course, golfers can play through a gorgeous nine-hole course with numerous tall trees.
There are new lakeside dining options, including Portside Pizza and the Tri-Lake Restaurant, which serves classic American food. Lake residents can also grab a drink at the HillTop Tavern or the DW Bar and Grill.
Just about an hour away, Fort Wayne is one of the most populated cities in Indiana, second only to Indianapolis.
Sometimes known as the “City of Churches,” Fort Wayne is home to a whopping 360 churches, most of which are Catholic, Lutheran, and Episcopal.
Fort Wayne’s most popular attraction, the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo, is a 1,000-animal zoo consisting of over 40 acres in Franke Park. The zoo ranks among the top zoos in the United States.
