Lake Freeman is one of two human-made lakes located just outside Monticello, Indiana. This area is often referred to as the Twin lakes area, with Lake Freeman and Lake Shafer creating one of the most significant vacation spots in the Midwest.

Lake Freeman has an impressive surface area of 1,547 acres with 50 miles of shoreline.

Lafayette, Indiana, is about 25 miles from Lake Freeman, which is only around a 35-minute drive with no traffic.

Life on the Lake

Lake Freeman is a trendy tourist destination and gets exponentially busier in the summer months, starting on Memorial Day. Swimming, boating, fishing, and all other water sports are thoroughly enjoyed on Lake Freeman and are some of the reasons this lake is so famous.
