Recreational Lake of 143 Acres

Irish Lake is the 2nd largest lake of the Big Barbee chain, covering a total of 143 acres and having an average depth of 30 feet.

Banning, Little Barbee, Sechrist, and Sawmill Lake join Irish Lake in the upper chain of lakes. Big Barbee Lake is the largest and busiest lake of the chain offering 278 acres of recreational waters.

Boating, Fishing, and More

At Irish Lake, you will benefit from a large lake without all of the noise and traffic. Its serene waters are perfect for fishing and casual boating. Any lake of the upper chain is a premier location for fishing largemouth bass, bluegill, perch, channel catfish, or walleye.

Big Barbee Lake is the only lake of the chain with no speed limit, making it a favorable destination for speed boaters, water skiers, jet skiers, and tubers alike.
