Durham Drive Lake is part of the Foxcliff North Community in-between state routes 37 and 67 in central Illinois. IU Health University Hospital, Indianapolis International Airport, hotels, restaurants, and attractions are approximately 25 miles north.

About the Lake and the Community

Foxcliff offers luxury living in the wooded countryside of Indiana, featuring White River, creeks, towering trees, and grassy hillsides.

The creator of Barbasol Shaving Cream, Frank Shields, originally owned the land. In the 30s, he built a breathtaking mansion that is now the community’s prized clubhouse.

Durham’s Lake is an amazing feature of the community, offering two acres of glassy waters. Other lakes of Foxcliff North like East Lake and West Lake cover nearly 35 acres, along with Wright’s Lake of five acres.

Amenities of the community include an Olympic-sized pool, a restaurant, tennis courts, a ball field, playgrounds, hiking areas, and the Foxcliff Golf Course.

Activity for Everyone

The lakes offer boating, fishing, and swimming to all Foxcliff residents. Kayaks, canoes, and electrically powered boats are welcome on the waters.

The community’s blended environment of forests, waters, and greenways attracts whitetail deer, squirrels, blue herons, bald eagles, butterflies, and a variety of birds.

Common areas around Clear Creek and Little Grassyfork Creek are great for hiking, horseback riding, or picnicking with views of native wildlife. Just south of the lake, Foxcliff Golf Course has a challenging par 72 course that will excite any golfer.
