Normally there are very few lake homes for sale at Grandview Lake, and very few listings for lots and land.

About Grandview Lake

Indiana’s Largest Private Lake

Grandview Lake is an exclusive, private lake in southern Indiana, only 50 miles outside of Indianapolis. Located near Columbus, this 400-acre lake is nestled in Brown County’s rolling hills. The shoreline is lined with lush trees, which provide privacy for the water-front residents.

You can easily access Indianapolis from Grandview Lake if you wish to shop, eat, hang out, or enjoy city life. The city is around 45 minutes from Indianapolis, an hour from Louisville, and two hours from Cincinnati.

Lake Recreation

Grandview offers a wide range of watersports, including water skiing, wakeboarding, surfing, paddleboarding, kayaking, fishing, sailing, swimming, ice skating, ice fishing, and more. Of course, boating is allowed and is a great way to explore the crystal clear waters.

This self-proclaimed “recreation-oriented” lake community offers a Ski Club, Yacht Club, Garden Club, and annual Deer Hunt.

Fishing is essential on this lake, which is why Grandview Lake is stocked with largemouth bass, walleye, bluegill, redear, sunfish, crappie, perch, and channel catfish. There are also fish shelters planted around the lake to help increase reproduction.

Grandview Lake sits on the out edge of Brown County State Park. Visitors can enjoy 70 miles of bridle trails, 30 miles of mountain biking trails, and over 18 miles of hiking trails winding throughout this picturesque state park.

Visit Louisville, Kentucky

An hour from Grandview Lake sits the vibrant city of Louisville, Kentucky. Visitors can see the legendary Churchill Downs, which hosts the Kentucky Derby each year.

If zebras are more your style, you can visit the 134-acre Louisville Zoo. You can see over 1,700 animals in naturalistic and mixed animal settings representing geographical areas, biomes, or habitats.

The Louisville Mega Cavern, Waterfront Park, Kentucky Kingdom & Hurricane, and Muhammad Ali Center are great ways to spend the day.

Live on the State’s Largest Private Lake

Whether you are looking to buy a family home, a full-time retirement residence, or a vacation rental, Grandview Lake is an excellent choice.
