Lake Pana

Located in Central Illinois

Lake Pana is located just east of the Pana city center, featuring shops, restaurants, and the Pana Community Hospital.

One hundred miles away, St. Louis houses the St. Louis Lambert International Airport, Kindred Hospital St. Louis, and Forest Park. Lake Pana is just over three hours from Chicago or two and a half hours from Indianapolis.

Double the Beauty and a Fishing Destination

An upper lake and a lower lake combine to create Lake Pana, covering a total of 219 acres. The lake has a maximum depth of 36 feet and is 14 feet deep on average. Boaters have access to a public boat launch on the lower lake.

Laka Pana is a popular fishery for gizzard and golden shiners, but yellow bass, sunfish, warmouth, and bullheads also populate.

Boating is another popular pastime, and lake goers enjoy cruising the waters in motorboats, pontoon boats, kayaks, canoes, and other watercraft.
