Lost Lake is a quiet community lake in northern, rural Illinois, located just 35 miles south of Rockford.

You can access the Chicago Rockford International Airport, Swedish American Hospital, and a selection of shops and restaurants. Chicago is home to a much larger city scene, located just 100 miles east of the lake.

Stunning Waters in the Lost Lake Community

The Lost Lake Community of over 350 homes enjoys the charm of this 88-acre lake. The lake was created in the mid-1960s then enlarged by a dam in 1972. Babbling Brook and Clear Creek feed the waters.

The water on Lost Lake hosts watercraft, such as boats, motorboats, kayaks, canoes, and more. North Beach or West Beach makes a great place to relax; the kids can swim or play in the sand while you tan or settle down with a good book.

The lake's amenities include boat racks, boat docks, a campground, and a lake court center, all provided for taxpaying residents.

At Lost Nation Golf Course, you can play a solo round of 18 holes, or organize a group round with your favorite golf buddies. To finish off your perfect day, stop at the bar and restaurant for a great meal.
