75-Acre Lake of the Loch Lomond Community

The Loch Lomond Community of over 600 homes boasts its beautiful 75-acre lake and extensive lawns and big oaks for a down-home feel. This human-made lake was created in 1955 with the damming of the south branch of Bull Creek.

Get on the Lake

Boating is a favorite pastime of the Loch Lomond residents. They cruise the waters on sailboats, sailboards, paddleboards, small pontoon boats, kayaks, canoes, and other similar watercraft.

Loch Lomond’s South Beach invites residents and their guests to hang out on the sands all day long. Having a sectioned-off swimming area, observation pier, and on-duty lifeguards is a safe place for swimmers.

The lake holds a variety of game fish, including largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill, catfish, perch, and northern pike. In the summer, anglers can boat the lake or fish from the shore. During winter, many enjoy the fun of ice fishing.

Lochfest is a celebration bringing the whole community together for food, games, events, giveaways, and live music. Some of the most popular events of the fest are the fishing derby and dog party.
