Lake Melissa is a quaint body of water settled less than a mile from Barrington Hills, Cook County, Illinois. In town, you will find a selection of stores, restaurants, pharmacies, and other establishments.

Advocate Good Health Hospital is just north of the lake. O’Hare International Airport is 25 miles away, and the attractions of downtown Chicago are 40 miles away.

Outdoor Enjoyment

With a few residences around the lake, you will find it an outstanding location for fishing, kayaking, or canoeing. You can picnic, read a book, or watch the sunset over the serene waters.

The Spring Lake Nature Preserve just west of the lake provides 70,000 acres for hiking, biking, horseback riding, birdwatching, and more.

A golfer would enjoy the 18-hole championship-caliber course at Makray Memorial Golf Club. It has a grille and clubhouse that help out with hosting social events, weddings, and other celebrations.
