About Twin Lakes

Convenient Drive to Boise, Idaho

Twin Lakes is a small pair of mountainous lakes located in Kootenai County, Idaho. It contains a top and average depth of 60 and 21 feet, respectively, covers a total area of 850 acres and features over 17 miles of shoreline.

The shoreline is within a half-hour of Boise and is under two hours from Salt Lake City, Utah, and Spokane, Washington.

Recreation

Much of Twin Lake's appeal is derived from its central location amongst some of the United State's most expansive national forests.

The lakes themselves are nestled in the Sawtooth National Forest. This area features a wide variety of outdoor recreation, including beaches & dune areas, biking trails, horseback riding, geocaching, hunting, hiking, and fishing, to name a few.

Twin Lakes is a non-watersport lake and therefore doesn't allow for the use of jet skis and any motorized watercraft over 15 horsepower. This allows the water to retain year-round clarity and promotes relatively low noise levels.

These conditions make Twin Lakes an excellent location for anglers hoping to make their big catch. This lake is teeming with popular sport fish, including large and smallmouth bass, crappie, lake trout, rainbow trout, and perch, to name a few.

Twin Lakes is truly the best area to experience the great outdoors.

A Break From Nature

Want to do some shopping or find a new eatery? Spokane, Washington, is the perfect spot. It is just a short drive from Twin Lakes and has a plethora of places to shop, eat, and drink while visiting.

This beautiful city is a four-season destination, meaning there are events and attractions for every season of the year.

The Best Place to Experience Lake Life
