Blue Heron Lake is located in the private community of Hillwood Park in Sagle, Idaho. Bonner County has a population of over 40,000, but the lake offers a peaceful respite from its surroundings.

While there are many smaller airfields around Blue Heron Lake, the largest airport nearby is Spokane International and is about an hour and 15 minutes away. Emergency care can be found at Bonner General Health, just under 15 minutes away.
