Convenient to Ocala and Orlando

Just 40 minutes to Ocala and 60 miles to Orlando, Lake Panasoffkee is a short trip to major cities.

Major highways are easily accessible, with I-75 running along the eastern side of the lake and C.R. 470 running along the south shore.

Panasoffkee was named by the Native Americans and means "Valley of Water."

The body of water has an average depth of 26 feet and offers 11 miles of shoreline.

The lake is managed by the Lake Panasoffkee Water Association who ensures the lake is kept in pristine condition.

Popular campgrounds nearby include Better Times RV Park, Lake Pan RV Village and the Thousand Palms Resort.

Other activities to enjoy are the Eisenhower Regional Recreation Center and the Swamp Fever Airboat Adventures, a unique airboat adventure that takes you through Florida's nature and wildlife.

Jimbo's Fish Camp and Resort is located on the west side of the lake and has many amenities including cottage rentals, a bait shop and delicious food. The restaurant is a fantastic place to relax and offers live music every Saturday to make your visit even more lively.

The Ocala National Forest is just a hour away and is home to 600 lakes, rivers and springs with crystalline waters year-round to snorkel and dive in.

Fun and Fishing

The water body has one public dock at Coleman Landing Public Boat Ramp, perfect for avid anglers. The lake is abundant with popular sport fish such as largemouth bass, black crappie, red-ear sunfish and bluegill.
