If you wish to explore Lochloosa Lake by boat, there are two public boat ramps. One provides access at U.S. Highway 301 in Lochloosa and the other is at Lochloosa Harbor Fish Camp just north of Lochloosa, also accessed from U.S. 301.

In addition to boating, there is also a public fishing pier on Lochloosa Lake. The most predominant species of fish to be caught here are largemouth bass, bluegill, redear sunfish, and black crappie.
