Highland Lake is a gorgeous stretch of water located within Winchester, Connecticut. Hartford is around an hour away.

The town of Winstead sits on the northside of the lake, including Winsted Health Center, lodging options, restaurants, stores, and more. Bradley International Airport is just a 25-mile commute.

Highland Lake was formed in 1860 by a dam on the Mad River and now runs for three miles and covers 444 acres. Its crystal waters have a maximum depth of 63-feet and are 24 feet deep on average.
