Doolittle Lake

The Lake

Doolittle Lake is a private community lake in Litchfield County, surrounded by the town of Norfolk. Hartford and Springfield, Massachusetts are both around an hour and a half away.

The lake has very strict rules set, in order to preserve the lake's integrity. For instance, you may not place a boat or any watercraft in the lake unless it is brand new.

With that being said, the lake does provide it's residents with tons for opportunities for fun, such as sailboats, paddle boards, kayaks and more!

Norfolk

The town of Norfolk has so much to offer. Every Saturday there is a farmers market held on Maple Avenue, where residents gather for music, fresh produce, crafts and honey maple syrup. The town also holds the annual "A Weekend in Norfolk," a three day summer festival.

Things to Do, Places to See

This area is well-known for its wildlife, and nature activities. Norfolk itself had three separate state parks: Haystack Mountain State Park, Dinnis Hill State Park and Campbell Falls State Park Reserve. They offer hiking trails, mountains and waterfalls for you to explore.

Downtown, you can catch a show at the Infinity Music hall, a historic 19th-century theater with dining.
