Pickwick Lake is the reservoir created by the Pickwick Dam and the Wilson Dam as part of the Tennessee Valley Authority. This beautiful lake is between Memphis, TN (2hrs and 30 min) and Huntsville, AL (2hrs and 15 min). Located just 32 minutes away, the North Alabama Medical Center is a 263-bed facility dedicated to providing top-quality care. This hospital is staffed with over 200 physicians who represent over 42 specialty areas of medicine. The Huntsville International Airport is the largest airport in North Alabama serving roughly 1.2 million travelers annually. Pickwick Lake has excellent sportfishing areas, including the Wilson Dam tailwater at the upper end of the reservoir, noted for record-size smallmouth bass and catfish.
