Lake Tuscaloosa

Located in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama

Located five miles north of Tuscaloosa and Northport in west-central Alabama is Lake Tuscaloosa. This man-made lake, constructed in 1969, is over 5,000 acres and 177 miles of shoreline.

The Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport is under 85 miles away, and the Northport Medical Center is under 10 miles away.

There are a variety of schooling options located around the Lake Tuscaloosa area. Public and Private schools K-12 are offered to residents and located 20 minutes away.

Lake Tuscaloosa is excellent for water activities such as boating, swimming, and fishing. The most popular species caught here are catfish, bass, and freshwater drum.

The Lakes at North River is a great community mostly surrounded by Lake Tuscaloosa. North River features a public boat ramp, pavilions, and playgrounds.
