Seven miles from the lake is the 24-hour Prairie Ridge Health Hospital, and 28 miles from the lake is the Dane County Regional Airport. For a wonderful hiking experience, walk the beautiful scenic trails of Egret Hiking Trail and Boardwalk Trailhead, just 30 miles from the lake. Lots of wildlife and sightseeing at these trails.
