Sitting at 89 acres with a maximum depth of 16 feet, French Lake has breathtaking private wooded waterfront views that you won’t want to miss out on- it’s the best lake to be in the Northwoods!

19 miles from the lake is the 24-hour Marshfield Medical Center- Park Falls and the Park Falls Municipal Airport making Lake French an easy destination to settle at or travel to and from.

Life on the Water

Lake French is Wisconsin’s little treasure for fishing. Locals commonly catch musky, panfish, largemouth bass, and walleye.

Other than the fishing opportunities, Lake French has endless opportunities for boating, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and various water sports. Locals thoroughly enjoy swimming and relaxing by the lake as well as the occasional family BBQ or picnic.

For family-friendly fun, check out the Wildwood Wildlife Park Zoo and Safari only a 30-minute drive from the lake. Make sure to bring your quarters to feed the animals!

For hiking lovers, walk the trails of Fallison Lake Hiking Trail and North Trout Nature Trail within 30 miles of the lake. Both are easy hikes with lovely scenic views.

Less than a mile from the lake are local favorite restaurants. Chico’s North of the Border has mouth-watering enchiladas and the SK Frontier Inn has real poutine, ironically being at Lake French. For fine dining, go on a 20-minute drive to Flame Restaurant or Aurora Borealis Restaurant, both new American restaurants.
