Deer Lake - Balsam Lake

Located in Polk County, Wisconsin

About 45 minutes from Twin Cities, you will find the 786-acre-sized lake that holds a maximum depth of 46 feet. The clear, reflecting waters of Deer Lake that are surrounded by full, green trees will give you a strong sense of peace and tranquility.

St. Croix Medical Center is the closest 24-hour hospital about a short seven miles from the lake, while the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport is about 70 miles from the lake. There is a multitude of smaller airports that are accessible to all by the lake as well. Cross the border to Minnesota and check out Twin Cities, less than an hour away from Deer Lake. There is an assortment of tourist attractions to check out, from museums to parks. Spend an afternoon walking through Grand Avenue for boutique shopping and yummy restaurants.
