About Long Lake - Eden Lake Twp

30 Miles Southwest of St Cloud

Long Lake is just a half-hour from Downtown St Cloud, Minnesota. It is convenient to be so close to restaurants, shops, attractions, the St Cloud Regional Airport, and St Cloud Hospital.

Part of the Horseshoe Chain of Lakes

Long Lake is proudly part of the Horseshoe Chain of Lakes, a hit vacation destination for nearly 100 years. The lakes were renamed the Sauk River Chain of Lakes, but its residents chose to call it by its original name.

Long Lake features 460 acres of water and several small islands. The entire chain combined covers around 31,000 acres. The whole group of lakes is navigable by boat.

Boating, Fishing, Swimming, and More

Long Lake is off the main stretch so that residents can enjoy boating, fishing, and swimming without all of the extra traffic. Some of its main activities are powerboating, pontooning, water skiing, tubing, jet skiing, and fishing.

Horseshoe Lake was home to the first pontoon boat created by a local farmer in 1952. With access to so many lakes, kayakers and canoers will never run out of places to paddle.

The waters are home to an abundance of walleye, northern pike, muskie, largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill, and channel catfish. When the waters freeze, they fill with ice, anglers, and snowmobilers.

Fun off the Lake

Golfers have a choice of the nearby Rich-Spring Golf Club and River Oaks Golf Course.

Head to downtown St Cloud for a variety of shops and restaurants. The city is also home to many quarries where you can hike or swim. Quarry Park is the best place to go.

Outstanding Lake Area

With property on Long Lake, you will have the advantages of a low-traffic lake while the rest of the Horseshoe Lake Chain is just a boat ride away.
