Stison Lake

Located in Oakland County, Michigan

Stison Lake is located in White Charter Township in a private area with great views all around the lake. It provides several outdoor recreation and leisure activities on the lake and in surrounding areas.

Outdoor Recreation Activities

On the lake, anyone can enjoy riding along the water kayaking, paddle boating, and fishing. They also allow swimming for those who want to make a splash in the water. Boaters and fishermen can expect to catch species of fish such as largemouth bass, common carp, yellow bullhead, northern pike, bluegill, and black crappie.

The Highland Recreation Area located a little over one mile south of the lake features 5,900 acres of land with trails and areas for picnics, swimming, horseshoes, and volleyball. The trails are accommodating to equestrian riders, mountain bikers, hikers, and skiers. They offer fishing and recreational boating in their areas of water. This area is great to experience the wildlife and nature all around.

In the winter, Alpine Valley offers three terrain parks and a snow-cross track for a great time outdoors. They offer different tracks and lines for people of all skill levels along with lessons for beginners and intermediate skiers and snowboarders. There is a food and beverage area to take a break at or after time spent on the courses.

Other Leisure Activities

The Brentwood Golf Club and Banquet Center located 4.7 miles southeast of the lake offers golf courses for all skill levels and other amenities. They provide challenging and fun courses for a great day out with friends and family. They feature a bar and grill area with daily specials while on the course or after a full day of playing.
