Lonesome Lake is located in Orion Township featuring a great place to enjoy the water with friends and family. Located 12 miles south of the lake is the Pontiac General Hospital providing 24/7 emergency and general medical care. The hospital provides a variety of medical services meeting all patients’ needs. They work to build a healthier community and give a better quality of life to everyone.

The Oakland County International Airport located 16 miles southwest of the lake offers great flights and amenities in the airport. They offer small restaurants and shops serving all customers with basic necessities before and after flights. During flights, the airlines provide accommodating services to all passengers offering a safe, comfortable flight.

Outdoor Recreation Activities

Along Lonesome Lake, family and friends can enjoy the water partaking in different water activities for all ages, and the beautiful scenery across the lake. Boaters and fishermen can expect to ride around catching species of fish such as northern pike, largemouth bass, crappie, and more.

Orion Oaks County park provides 900+ acres of land with a boating and fishing area along with two trails, a field area, a dog park, and more. The dog park provides 24 acres of off-leash play for them to run around and play. The trails offer hikers and mountain bikers 10 miles of trails to enjoy those activities with beautiful scenery along the way. There is a small boat launch for non-motorized boats offering a fun, relaxing time on the water.

The Indianwood Golf & Country Club provides memberships for everyone to enjoy the golf course and amenities in the club. They offer challenging golf courses for all skill levels to experience across the course. They provide a fitness area and pool membership, as well.
