Created and managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Lewisville Lake was created for flood control purposes as well as a water supply source for the City of Dallas.

Today, Lewisville Lake is one of the largest lakes in northern Texas spanning over 29,000 acres with 233 miles of shoreline in southern Denton County.

Lewisville Lake is known for being one of the biggest recreational hubs in northern Texas, but especially for its Party Cove.
