Formerly known as Lake McDonald, Lake Austin is a water reservoir on the Colorado River northwest of Texas’s capital city, Austin.

It is one of the seven Highland Lakes and generally remains at a constant level. Around the lake are cliffs dotted with numerous luxurious lake homes.
