Loon Lake is a beautiful body of water in the rustic wilderness of eastern New Hampshire.
Just over an hour from Portland, residents are in proximity to the Portland International Jetport, Maine Medical Portland Hospital, beaches, hotels, and shops. Residents of loon lake get the best of both worlds, with the King Pine Ski Area or the Maine beaches just a drive away. The King Pine Ski Area is a fantastic destination for skiing, snowboarding, or tubing among its 45-acres that feature six ski lifts and 17 different trails.
One of the best beach destinations is in Old Orchard Beach, home to the Palace Playland beachfront amusement park, Old Orchard Pier, a strip of shops and diners, and an inviting sandy shore.
