Towns of Kimball, Fair Haven, and South Haven surround the lake, while Annandale is just 10 miles away. Each of the cities offers restaurants, grocery stores, and shops.

Minneapolis is just over an hour away, where there are attractions, nightlife establishments, and more. You will also have access to Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport or East Bank Hospital.

189 Acres of Beauty

Lake Louisa features 189 acres of smooth, glimmering waters. There are several homes around the shore, but dense forests lie in between.

The lake is a picturesque location year-round, but it peaks when the leaves change color in the fall. A variety of trees make it an excellent place for leafing. Birdwatching and hiking are popular activities for any season.

Boating, Fishing, and More

Get in a pontoon, motorboat, jet ski, kayak, or canoe to get the most enjoyment of the water. For an adrenaline rush, get behind a boat on skis, a tube, or a wakeboard.

Largemouth bass, northern pike, and sunfish dominate the fishing scene, but anglers make other catches as well. With no public access to the lake, you do not have to worry about crowded waters.

You can access the waters of Lake Marie with the channel on the east end of the lake. It is easiest to pass in a kayak or canoe.

Annandale and Minneapolis

Annandale is known for its charming downtown full of shops and restaurants; it also offers the Southbrook Golf Course and Whispering Pines Golf Course.

The nearby Powder Ridge Ski Resort is a fun place to go for skiing, snowboarding, or tubing. Laser Light Tubing is an exciting attraction that includes flashing lights, lasers, and neon colors.

Minneapolis and Saint Paul are classic Minnesota cities known for being a great source of nightlife. Some of the cities’ top sights include Mall of America, Nickelodeon Universe, Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, and Minnehaha Falls.
